Pure nature and remote villages

In Trekking, we are accompanied by a team of people from villages in the Zanskar Valley who are responsible for setting up the camp every day, and our wonderful chef will delight us with nutritious and tasty food prepared with love.

Horses transport all the equipment and our luggage. We walk with a small backpack containing water, nuts, and lunch. With barely any weight, it's easier to enjoy the surroundings and the journey.

August

Crossing valleys and mountain passes, we reach Padum, the capital of the Zanskar Valley.

During these days of hiking, we move through pure nature, passing through small, authentic Ladakhi villages, camping amidst the impressive mountains, immersed in beauty.

September

A trek of low difficulty that traverses a beautiful protected natural area, ascending through the wide bed of the Markha River.

We cross small populations of authentic Ladakhi rural life, monasteries, and remains of ancient castles reminiscent of villages from The Lord of the Rings.

Each day we walk from 4 to 8 hours, slowly, stopping at our own pace, bathing in the crystal-clear meltwater, dissolving into this pure nature of extraordinary beauty.

From Sara to Markha, Hankar, Nimaling, Sumdo, and we reach Lato.

On the first day in Markha, we visit the small monastery and the castle ruins. On the second day in Hankar, we visit Techa Gompa, built on a cliff at the foot of the village of Umlung.

On the third day, we ascend to Nimaling where we will encounter people from nearby villages herding their livestock.

On the fourth day, we cross the Chaksang and Puzze La passes until we reach the Sheul Sumdo base camp, from where we will enjoy spectacular views of the Kang Yatse glacier and the peaks of the Karakoram.

On the fifth and final day of trekking, we have an easy hike descending along the river to the beautiful village of Lato, where we will spend the night in a Ladakhi house and enjoy the rest and beauty of the place.
